The name “Bluebird” is inspired by the “bluebird of happiness,” a symbol of good hope, community, and cheer.

Our restaurant off Riverside Avenue in Burlington, Vermont offers numerous dining spaces for groups up to 125 people. It features a screened-in patio with river views, copper-clad bar with 24 craft beers on tap, private party room, and ample parking with ramp access. 

We also offer full-service catering, with bar service, a portable smoker, and large food trailer for events big and small.

Danny Sullivan Danny joined Bluebird Barbecue in 2016. Originally from Walden NY, Danny previously worked for Hill Country Chicken in NYC, Dinosaur BBQ in NYC, and served as Executive Chef at bartaco in Westport, Connecticut.

Samantha Finnefrock Sam joined Bluebird Barbecue in 2012. Before moving to Vermont and working at Bluebird, she worked for her hometown pizza restaurant in Caine, PA where she was everything from server, bartender, and manager. Around Bluebird Barbecue, Sam’s nickname is “Samantha Brisket.”

Ashley Brunelle Ashley joined Bluebird Barbecue when it opened in 2012. Previously she worked at the Lake George Shoreline restaurant as Assistant Director of Events. Ashley is from Queensbury, NY. Her hidden talent is that she plays the cello.
